Hi,
If for some reason I lose my XnView.db, can I recreate my data from the exported categories list and the files.xml? Does files.xml contain all the keywording work I have done until the export?
I'm asking this because the files.xml is much smaller than the XnView.db (about 8MB .xml vs 90MB .db). The xml contains however 115K lines, so that is a lot of keyworded media.
Thanks,
Tango

Sorry, I made a typo in the subject. I wanted to write files.xmL. The file what you get by using the option to Export File's Categories.
If possible, the categories are stored in metadata too (pictures), but I keyworded other types of media as well, movies, .swf, folders, etc.

you can save the xnview.db, or export with 'Export File's Categories' for the .xml

Thank you, so the files.xml contains ALL keyworded media as well. That is very useful.
