Multi-Monitor Setup with scaling problem

Post by Adabi »

Hi

I am runnig a 4K Display and two 1920x1200 Displays with W10.
After scaling the 4K to 150% XnViewMP 0.96.5 font is smaller than normal on the 1920x1200 displays.
If I scale the 4K back to 100% the problem does not appear.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you for your answer.

If I start XnView on the 4K 150% monitor scaling is fine on that display. If I then move XnView to the other display (1920x1200 100%) scaling is getting much smaller than it should.

Scaling the 4K to 100% and start XnView then everything on the 1920x1200 is in normal size. But of course, that is no solution for the 4K display.
If I then go back to 4K 150% and start a 2nd XnView I have two XnView instances side by side on the 1920x1200. The first one with the normal scaling (before changing the 4K to 150%) and the one with the too small scaling. On the picture you can the difference.

So far I have been able to find a workaround or a solutions, depends on from what side you are looking.

1. Go to the installation location of XnView, the program link should be fine.
2. Right click and choose properties.
3. Go to the compatibility tab.
4. Choose there 'override high DPI scaling behavior' and change the dropbox 'scaling performed by:' to 'System (enhanced)'

This will fix the scaling problem I mentioned above. And by the way it seems to be a good way to fix any blurry of other software problems as well. But that's something different.
