How to save the setup?
Hello,
My parameters are not saved after exiting.
For example by changing the action of the mouse roll.
I tried by changing the .ini location without success.
How to do?
Thank you.

Re: How to save the setup?
Here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\XnViewMP
But this is a system file so I cannot modify it through notepad.
As administrator the behaviour of xnview MP is the awaited one, but not as simple user

Are you changing the settings using Tools > Options... or by editing the .ini file directly ?mulanee wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2020 2:17 pm My parameters are not saved after exiting.

Using Tools/options/integration/path (something like that, i cannot change the language from french..)cday wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2020 3:57 pm Are you changing the settings using Tools > Options... or by editing the .ini file directly ?
As simple user I cannot edit/save the .ini file
I could probably do it running notepad as admin but I don't know the setup numbers to change

Re: How to save the setup?
Why don't you change settings directly using Tools > Options... > General -- Keyboard/Mouse ?
Re: How to save the setup?
I can do it but after exiting this setup is not saved.
This the problem, as basic user I cannot change and/or save another setup

Re: How to save the setup?
Could you possibly have installed XnView Classic in an admin account and used an option to make the program available in your user account? I don't use Windows much now, but think I saw an option for that once.
That might provide an explanation if that option does exist...
In the absence of other ideas, if you might have originally installed it in an admin account, you could try installing XnView Classic in your user account.

A very common problem, but fortunately slowly reducing as 'MP becomes more dominant.mulanee wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2020 5:15 pm I realize I'm in the wrong section.
Xnview Classic is working well.
I suggested that the solution might actually be to rename both software, for example to 'XnClassic' and 'XnUltra' so that people would be clearer which they were using!
