Renaming files with a period in name [Solved]

I was trying to rename a file called 10 - Speed Test - 1237MBs (9.896Gbps).png.

When I selected the file and pressed F2 to rename it only highlighted the 10 - Speed Test - 1237MBs (9 section when it should really select it all.

For some strange reason when I was renaming that file last night it had this behaviour where it would only select a portion of the filename up until the first period.

I suppose you can close this issue.
