Saving the image as to the same directory [Solved]

If I open an image and save as it doesn't use the current directory of the image but it directs to the desktop.

Is there a way to save the image as to the current directory?

Normally with any program saving as will automatically have the directory of the original file as the default.

settings>General>file operations - for 'save as'...
