Hello,
I just reinstalled the current version (64 bit) of XnView MP on my computer after not using it for many months. I am installing it on a Windows 11 laptop.
The program is crashing on startup. It appears to be while loading the initial "Pictures" folder.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards, Jeff

Re: XnView crashing on startup
OK hold your beers.
I've established that the program was failing upon accessing four .tiff files in my Pictures directory. These files, or at least one of them, may be corrupted in some way.
The files were created by photo editing using the Nik Collection. Whether that is an issue I will have to further investigate.
Thank you, Jeff

Re: XnView crashing on startup
No further evidence that Nik is the problem. I can only think there was something odd about those four files. Neither putting them in a zip file nor renaming them away from the .tif extension resolved the issue. But deleting them altogether, XnView appears to be working fine.

Hi Pierre, I have just sent you an email with the files attached. I'm not sure all the files were an issue but at least one was.

Did you find it was an issue on your computer/s too? I thought it might have been just my setup. Corrupt file or clash with another running program.

Re: XnView crashing on startup
Thank you Pierre. I have other .tif files created with the Nix collection which load without issue. So I don't know what is special about those files.
