Quick search in XMP companion

I use only XMP sidecar to store file description, rating, etc, because I don't want to modify original files.

Actually, I copy (duplicate via Cut&Paste) the field XMP dc:description in file descript.ion and then I can search text inside descript.ion.
This is time-consuming (open, select, copy, close, open, paste, save, close) and provides the possibility of errors) in case of changes to the main text in XMP companion.

[Q] Is it possible to extend Quick Search (in top bar) to search text in XMP sidecar file?
