after some tests, on a SMB shared folder with 4000 subfolders, i have big delay to browser in Wifi, but with direct LAN the delay is less than 500ms

Well, thats great, though I have a few points here:

1. I tried it with a wire connection, but I did not notice any significant difference in performance, the lags remain huge and UI is glitchy.

2. Like I said earlier, other file browsing applications (including ones that show thumbnails) work reasonably fast.

3. Interestingly, in a virtual machine running on the same computer I installed XnView MP for Windows and it worked much better with the same network share! No UI glitches, the browsing speed is reasonable.

I think the above points give enough evidence that the issue is not related to my network connection or slow NAS, but it is rather the application itself. I am happy to run more tests if it helps to investigate the issue.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.00 beta. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
