0.99.7: "Open with" not working with Windows apps

XnView: MP 0.99.7 - 32 bit/64 bit
OS: Windows 10 64bit

Open with works well on files in Program files but with apps it fails i.e the alt+number doesn't work. I have a program in the following path:
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2Beta_2.0.0.1343_x64__v5ap6qg21y3cg\App\Photo.exe

Effect: It doesn't work

To reproduce:
1. Create an entry to a prog in windows apps
2. It will not load with the alt+number

Actual behaviour (bug): it doesn't load the program

Expected behaviour: It should load the progam

It is but the company involved is warning about taking control of anything in the windowsapp directory. I added myself to the security list and that worked around the issue (NO easy feat!!)
You still might want to address this as installs with the new MSIX format are installing there
