XnView w/High Sierra on a Mac

Post by zintc »

I've been using XnViewMP without problems until I upgraded to your latest version. I'm on a Mac running High Sierra, 10.13.6, and get the spinning color wheel almost right away. I've reinstalled several times, but no luck. I've also tried an older version, 98.3, without success.
Please help!

It starts and I can see folders and pictures, but I quickly get the spinning color wheel and have to force quit.
Thank you!

I emptied the folder using the finder where the potential file might be. Then, I shutdown the computer and restarted. Interesting, when I launched XnViewMP (latest version), it displayed the files that used to be in the folder, then I got the spinning color wheel and the only way to quit was to force quit. How else could I remove the files from the folder? The spinning color wheel shows up almost immediately.
Thank you for your help!

No, I'm able to view the contents of the new folder and the old folder with the Finder. But in XnView MP, the application doesn't see the new folder and all the images are in the old folder. The spinning wheel shows up quickly and I have to force quit.

I don't think I changed this setting. The application crashes before I can find out. Other than by star rating, I don't usually filter my photos. I organize by folders.

My understanding is that .ini files are Windows files. True? I'm on a mac, not Windows.
