The file browser shows alpha in preview thumbnails even if you've turned off "Use Alpha Channel" and then rebuilt the thumbnails. At least, this is the case with png and blp images. It means that some preview thumbnails are almost invisible when they have strong alpha masks.
In XNView Classic, you could open an image, turn off "Use Alpha Channel", then return to the file browser window and rebilld thumbnails, and it would render them without alpha channels.

Re: Alpha in thumbnails
Not if I've selected the menu option for it to not display, no. For many images I'm working with, it's hard to see anything in the thumb if alpha is active.
XNView Classic worked that way.
XNView Classic worked that way.
Re: Alpha in thumbnails
please try to change in your xnview.ini in Load section
Code: Select all
useAlpha=false
Pierre.
Re: Alpha in thumbnails
Is there some kind of command/button to enable/disable this option on the fly? For example, I have a bunch of textures with transparency and their previews are displayed 90% as just a black square. But I don’t always need to disable this feature.xnview wrote: Mon Sep 12, 2022 12:34 pm please try to change in your xnview.iniin Load sectionCode: Select all
