Exporting Categories to IPTC Keywords does not work

I decided to use hierarchical keywords like "person|smith alexander" or "location|france|paris", in order to sort this a little bit and to find the keywords afterwards. Problem is, that XnViewMP writes these hierarchical keywords into IPTC, but in XMP:dc I just find the last stage of the hierarchie like e.g. "smith alexander" or "paris", based on above examples.

In MP 1.3:

It exports child name only to 'xmp:subject', no nested hierarchy. This is annoying because you can have child duplicates in other parents. If you have Class|A and Type|A checked, it will export as "A, A"

But it exports parent|child to 'xmp:hierarchicalsubject'. If you have Class|A and Type|A checked, it will export as "Class|A, Type|A". So you should still have access to the nested catalog info in xmp.

I have some batch files I use to run ExifTool to "fix" some of the things MP does, like remove Subject. It's useless. Also, Windows "tags" column in File Explorer concatenates Subject and Keywords. If you have folder views with that column showing, you might want to delete Subject or not use IPTC.

Was that directed at me? I don't have a problem with it. I was just telling the other guy where to get hierarchical keywords in xmp in the latest version. If xnview outputs keywords in different formats to different tags I'll assume there is a reason for it. That I don't find the format used in Subject to be useful doesn't mean it's wrong.
