1.3/1.3.1 - Pressing RETURN to enter folders/files doesn't work

Hi,

Since upgrading to version 1.3.0 (and then 1.3.1) I cannot use the RETURN key on my keyboard to enter folders highlighted in the list. Using the RETURN key on my numpad works however. This seems to be a regression.

I looked at the reports currently around, and while I saw similar bugs I haven't seen one that was identical to the behavior I'm facing. Apologies if I'm creating a duplicate.

Effect: Cannot open folder, see files

To reproduce:

1. Launch XnView MP
2. Click in the file list
3. Navigate in the list of files and folders with the arrow keys
4. Press RETURN to open a file or folder

Actual behaviour (bug): Nothing happens
Expected behaviour: The file or folder is opened.

• Layout used is "Layout 7"
• The right sidebar is always set to the "Preview" tab

I'm noticing some other odd behaviors related to keyboard shortcuts, should I create another report ?
For example when pressing F2 to rename a folder, if I use SHIFT+T or BACKSPACE it will exit the renaming mode and go somewhere else or back a folder.

Was there a big refactor of the keybindings in 1.3.0 ? That would explain what I'm seeing.

Thanks, I will check that out.
XnView MP is the only application I have that seems affected by this change surprisingly. I have other Qt app (old and new) that seem to work fine.

I reverted to an older version (of xkeyboard config) and that seem to have made everything work back again.
You can probably close this report.
