Create a CD

Is it possible to have an alternate cd burn software in the drop down menu (With Nero Burning Rom) I uninstalled Nero and use CDburnerXp. Is there a way to edit the menu command to relate to CDburnerXp?

The drop down menu in XnView has the choice to Create a CD. It appears that it is a shell exe to open the software by Ahead-Nero cd burn.
To have a choice of another cd burning software one must purchase the pro level XnView?
When the task is to just burn a copy of the image folder to CD it seems a little strange that this subcontext menu could not be connected with an Open With command.

:) Hello Rose !
When the task is to just burn a copy of the image folder to CD it seems a little strange that this subcontext menu could not be connected with an Open With command.
¤ This astonished me the first time I saw that command, and continues to do still… :?

- Maybe Pierre has a sponsoring deal with Nero ? Image (I don't think, really…)

¤ You might post a request in the appropriate section, I would support it ;)

{ Aside : BTW, why not sign up as a member here? This brings much more capabilities… }

:mrgreen: Kind regards,

There are also windows ports of linux "cdrecord" (command line, no ASPI layer needed on win2k). Since there are other versions of Xnview, perhaps this might interest someone.

Enhanced issue…

:) Hello Pierre,

¤ BTW, the Rose's remark and suggestion for an “Open With…” command pose another issue in the following case :

- In Total Commander, we have an excellent (free of charge) CD-burning plugin based on the FoxBurner® programme so-called TCBurner (allowed, the author is the developer @ FoxBurner's…).
- This plugin works as a "File System" plugin, and this is a bit special.
- The point is how that plugin could be used through TC, since it is not a classic EXE to launch ? Many TC-users have only this plugin for the CD-burning and are happy with it…
- Maybe Ch. Ghisler could give you some info in order to get that works from XnView.
- We have a (good) French Manual for that plugin, you could read it hoping this could help… 8)

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

:) Hello Rose, bonjour !

¤ Congratulations ! Welcome aboard as a Member !
…Is the appropriate section the REQUESTS group?
- Absolutely ! The “Requests & Suggestions” section is the right place to ask for an improvement, as well a change of an existing one, as for a quite new one…
…Is there a way to edit the menu command to relate to CDburnerXp?
:( The question that angers… To edit menus, they must be built as text-files… We hope that'll be changed, already a start is coming for the EXIF data (for translations)

{ Aside again : please, give a glance here ;) }
