1.4.5 - batch convert - crash - closing dialog with only files added via shortcut

Windows11 (22H2), display resolution 3840x2160, win scaling 150%

Batch convert
crash after closing dialog with files added via shortcut (1 action required)

To reproduce:
0. have shortcut to test folder with some images
1. run clean portable XnViewMP
2. open any image
3. press CTRL+U to open Batch convert
4. delete any image on Input tab
5. add any action
6. drag shortcut from windows explorer into Input tab
files* will be added
7. close Batch convert dialog
app will crash

* NOTE: when adding files via dragging:
- folder - files from subfolders will be added
- shortcut - no files from subfolders will be added

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.5.0 beta. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

fixed in 1.5.0b1
but require some tuning for consistancy

• current behaviour
  • batch convert
    drag&drop only works in whole dialog except file list area
  • join images, slideshow, contact list
    drag&drop only works in file list area

• expected behaviour
  • all dialogs with file list functionlity
    drag&drop shall work in whole dialog, just drag&drop files on any place/tab/control within dialog (for convinience purpose)

ps. no need to keep notice: "You can drag&drop your files on the list below." as this is obvious standard behaviour
