Automatic rotation to correct position

Post by Hans L »

While I have Settings > General > General > Rotate images according to EXIP orientation tag checked, images do not rotate to the correct position when I scan through them. I guess I am missing something (to get automatic rotation to correct position)!?

Okay, Pierre, I understand. Now, I read quickly about orientation and EXIF on line, but must conclude that the articles were written by very bad AI :-(

So, let me just ask two things: where would the orientation field have been in my image if there had been one? And what determines whether there would be an orientation field or not?

Thank you!
