This seems to be a recent problem with one of the newest releases. In a directory with .jpg files and also .jpg.xmp files left there by Darktable (image editor), formerly with older versions of XnView they would be ignored, and I could use the left and right arrow keys to navigate through images in the directory. Now, if I navigate to one of the .xmp files, I see the raw XML in the window as text, and the arrow keys do not work to navigate either backwards or forwards. I have to click to delete that image view to get back to the directory, where of course I can select another image to view.
Is this something I can affect with an application setting?

Oh never mind, if I un-check "Show companion files" it's fine. (I still think it shouldn't get stuck, but whatever.)

I have downloaded newest XnView Simple version of app and I can't browse image files with arrow keys on my keyboard. I looked on Settings-options but I can't make XnView to let me use arrows keys for browsing images. I have newely installed Windows 11 OS. I don't know what's the problem. Help.

Windows 11 has been causing some problems but as a Linux user I'm not familiar with the details...I have newly installed Windows 11 OS. I don't know what's the problem. Help.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.6.0. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
