Mouse wheel gets stuck on a folder

XnView: MP 1.6.2 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 11 64 bit

XnViewMp bug: Navigation gets stuck on a folder when scrolling through images in the Preview panel using the mouse wheel.

Effect: Focus is lost.

To reproduce:
Settings -> Interface -> Mouse -> Set Mouse wheel to previous/next file
Browse to a folder with subfolders & images
Select an image
Move the mouse in the Preview panel
Scroll until a subfolder is selected
Bug: You can't scroll any further to select another image or subfolder, you're stuck.
Expected behaviour: Continue scrolling in either direction, as it is already possible with the arrow keys.

i can't reproduce. If current item is subfolder, wheel mouse works as expected

I did some more tests, to reproduce it you need to set Preview as a tab. View -> Info panels -> Preview as tab.
