B1: Batch Convert - Output dir. improvements
What about these improvements http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=19490#19490 ?
At least easier way to use original path should be find for 1.82, I think. Many users don't know about it and ask how they can do it...

Brr, it's getting worse with the place holders.xnview wrote:I've added $ for original folder nameDreamer wrote:What about these improvements http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=19490#19490 ?

What we really need is a direct acces to original folder name. Various solutions have been discussed in the topic mentioned above.

Nice feature. Perhaps a new text file "command.txt" would be useful for placeholders and other advanced features.helmut wrote:Brr, it's getting worse with the place holders.xnview wrote:I've added $ for original folder nameDreamer wrote:What about these improvements http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=19490#19490 ?

Yes - and the best for normal and advanced users* and probably also easy to implement is this one:What we really need is a direct acces to original folder name. Various solutions have been discussed in the topic mentioned above.
* - normal users could use drop down menu, advanced users just symbols...single button with dropdown menu and these items (with explanation) - same as Insert button in Batch Rename:
- Use org. path for images (it would empty the dir. path)
- %
- .
- \
...
Note: Options/symbols above my be incorrect, more options could be added, in 1.82 just few of them could be added...
Batch convert dialog (2 lines) could look like this:
Code: Select all
Directory [ ] [Insert >>] [...]
Format [ ] [ Options ]
