renaming after cropping undoes cropping

If I crop an image and then rename it, the cropping is undone.

From my point of view, it should be the case that the cropping is retained.

My version is 1.8.3 64 bit (Windows)

Something like this:

Should the modified version be renamed?

Or at least:
Attention:
You have made changes to the photo.
If you rename the photo, any unsaved changes will be lost.

it's better to implement renaming-dirty-file-without-reloading functionality, eg like in vscode
