If I crop an image and then rename it, the cropping is undone.
From my point of view, it should be the case that the cropping is retained.
My version is 1.8.3 64 bit (Windows)

the problem is that you rename the file without saving it first

Should the modified version be renamed?
Or at least:

it's better to implement renaming-dirty-file-without-reloading functionality, eg like in vscode
