*Since I don't speak English, I used automatic translation.
I am using XnViewMP 1.7.2.
Thumbnails are not displayed for zip files.
I used to think that this feature wasn't supported until recently.
However, I found out that cbz file thumbnails are supported.
So, I changed the name of the zip file to a cbz file to display the thumbnails.
It seems there is clearly some issue with how it works.
I am reporting this because I want the problem to be fixed.
1. When the xnview.ini file is deleted and the program is run for the first time,
customFilter=65279
thumbnailFilter=65531
Thumbnails for zip files are displayed, but if the Settings > File list > Custom filter is touched even once, the thumbnails are no longer displayed as in case 2.
2. When running with the usual settings,
customFilter=3745
thumbnailFilter=3713
Thumbnails for zip files are not displayed, but changing the file name to cbz makes the thumbnails visible.
After changing the name back to a zip file from a cbz file, the thumbnails are temporarily maintained but eventually disappear again.
Please tell me what I can do to solve this problem.
Thanks for reading.

Does this mean zip files don't support thumbnail viewing?xnview wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 11:12 am Thumbnail for ZIP files is associated icon not the first file in zip
Re: thumbnails for ZIP files
there is no thumbnail for ZIP, CBZ is a special format, it's a ZIP with only image files, so first file is always an image file
Pierre.

When I said thumbnail, I meant that first image filexnview wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 11:58 am there is no thumbnail for ZIP, CBZ is a special format, it's a ZIP with only image files, so first file is always an image file
I'm talking about the problem of not displaying that first image correctly.
Re: thumbnails for ZIP files
I am very sorry to jump--, but I want to ask: How did you make an animated image as if it were a video?
