Folder ratings disappear

I do use the rebuild thumbnail feature a lot. but I don't rate folders until after I rebuilt the thumbnails. Do you think rebuilding the thumbnails of some folders will cause the ratings to disappear on others?

No i don't think, but perhaps there is something with 'rebuild thumbnails'. Are you able to find a way to reproduce?

I am not, unfortunately, I was really hoping someone here might know what I am talking about and the solution; or at least someone else might have complained about a similar issue.

When you try to reproduce, it works? The only way that i reproduce is to tag folder, and use 'rebuild thumbnail'

No I only rebuild thumbnails once and then I start rating the pictures in the folder. Unless your saying rebuilding thumbnails elsewhere will cause random folders to lose ratings. When I add new pictures they often need to be rebuilt but I've seen ratings disappear on folders just by opening a folder.

do you add pictures always with XnView or windows explorer?

Windows explorer, but I'm not doing anything to the folders when they lose their ratings. They just drop the ratings at random.

Are you working or doing your tests only in C:\Users\TNTol\OneDrive\ ?
Did you try anywhere else ?
Perhaps this folder is a case of unexpected behavior ?

I don't use onedrive, that costs money. I think onedrive has a really small free version but it's not large enough for my needs.

But if you think there is something wrong with the folder that might be confusing XnView that might be the case. Do you know what might cause trouble?
