Hi,
new here. Testing out the sw and it looks great so far!!
I was trying to configure the action that is to be carried out when double clicking on an image. I'd like to launch Photoshop.
I understand that I have to right click, open with, configure programs and add the Photoshop executable which I did.
Is there a way to launch PS when double clicking an image instead of right click, open with... ?(I know I can Alt+1 but I find it unpractical)
Thank you!
Double click on an image to launch in a different SW?
Re: Double click on an image to launch in a different SW?
If your mouse has extra buttons, get a program like XMouseButtonControl or Logitech Options, and configure one of your extra mouse buttons to send the appropriate hotkey (Alt-1 in your case) to XnViewMP. Then you can edit a file with one mouse click.
I've been doing this sort of thing for years to get control of Irfanview which is much less configurable.

- double-click
currently its only possible if you associate Ps with desired image filetypes and set Open with to 'Associated program' in Settings>Filelist>Custom filter
Obvious drawback - images will not be opened with xnview from win file explorer
related
Settings - filelist - custom filter - open with - add more options
- F4
if you are ok with pressing F4 instead of double-click - you can set any app as default Editor for desired filetypes
