XNviewMP 1.9.4 with bug in Copy and Paste resource

Post by josedumoretzsohn »

Copy and Paste in 1.9.4, differently from 1.9.3, is not allowing to Paste into Selection. It always pastes in the center of the chosen image. Until 1.9.3, to which I returned, on a same image we could select a piece of image, copy it with Ctrl+C, move the selection to another place on the same image and press Ctrl+V to print the copied piece. Now, in 1.9.4, when we press Ctrl+V in this last step, a new print shows exactly in the center of the image, with a slightly darker color than the original, therefore disabling its use.

I face the same, this is CRITICAL to me. The old behaviour was much useful.
Now I need to go back to 1.9.3 to retrieve it.
Often when I Copy Paste, I want to be able to paste at the same place and stretch it.

I second that the new behavior is completely terrible. It has made simple copy-pasting unnecessarily tedious. Why the heck would I "move it around" and click extra buttons when all I want is whatever's in my clipboard pasted into the selection I made?

At the very least, give us a way to switch back to the old behavior. I had to roll back to 1.9.3 for now...

I went back to MP 1.9.3 too. In 1.9.4, although we can move the new print around as I wish and place it where desirable, in my case the color is slightly darker indeed, and this turns the new paste useless.
Besides, in 1.9.3 we can do all this process in the same image: (1) select a piece, (2) copy the selection with Ctrl+C: (3) move the selection frame to the new desired place, and (4) press Ctrl+V to paste the copied piece there. It will show exactly like it was before. Additionally, I don't see this possibility mentioned anywhere else in this Forum.
I hope you will return to the 1.9.3 routine.

Check the opacity value
Pierre.

Thank you, Pierre. Copy Paste with free ratio is very important to me. I use it a lot to stretch border areas.
