XnConvert not remembering output settings on Mac

No matter what I seem to do XnConvert will not remember the output, filename or format settings I select.

Every time I open the app I have to change them. This wasn't an issue when I was using Windows.

If I look at the contents of .xbs file I saved I can see all the settings are what I had set when I saved the preset.

1.104 which is the latest version on the app store.

I've tried the App Store version, and no problem. MacOS intel or ARM?

It's a Mac Mini M4 so I assume that's Intel.

I downloaded the latest 1.106.0 DMG straight from the site and that seems to be saving the options on a restart.
