Hello, i'd like known (it's no very english but i'm french)... why are no installer for the beta version ?
An installer, it's good, for exemple name the beta version on xnviewbeta and this one no overwrite the stable version !!
It's better than a zip I think...
No ?
Installer beta
Moderators: helmut, XnTriq, xnview
Separate dir !

- It's better to install the test-version in another separate directory, that I do always…
- So, it's more flexible to change only the needed items along the advancement of the tests…
- Working such as, an installer is useless…

Re: Installer beta
I don't think so. You can unzip xnview anywhere you want, you can also rename it, so if you have XnView stable in "C:\Program Files\XnView", you can unzip XnView beta, rename to XnView beta and move to "C:\Program Files\XnView beta", no need to install anything. You can even copy your xnview.ini settings file to beta dir.dickymoe wrote:Hello, i'd like known (it's no very english but i'm french)... why are no installer for the beta version ?

XnView don't install any runtime components or don't need to create any registery entrys in order to work. So why beta versions should be published in installers?
