On Windows 10/11 systems you can use the taskmanager and set the used threads for xnviewmp.
This is a great workaround, if you need some cpu cores for other operations.

The command line encoder and decoder of JPEG XL has an option to specify the utilzed number of cpu threads. I don*t know if the library offers that option too.

Yes , in taskmanager I can set limit usage CPU cores , but this not convenient , because I every time I get the need do this , for example , if I do convert files from any format to any oher format , I can set limit usage in XnViewMP / XnConvert , but I can not set this for heavy JPEG XL doceder )
