INFO
XnView MP uses square overlay icons on thumbnails (descriptions are available in Settings > Thumbnails > Overlay icons).
Internally, the icons are organized into size-based sets.

    - extra
  • size
    dpi, %infoextra/rating
    1001213
    1251516
    1501820
    1752123
    2002426
  • name
    dpi, %file nameexample
    100set-name.pnginfo.png
    125–175set-name_size-in-pixels.png info_18.png
    200set-name@2x․pnginfo@2x․png
  • format
    - .png
    - .svg

Example
  • default overlay icons in raster (vector is not available)
    xnviewmp_overlay_icons_default_260606.png
    xnviewmp_overlay_icons_default_260606.zip

USAGE
To use custom icons:
1. create 'icons' folder in application root directory
2. place properly named files there
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi. What do the square blue icons mean? I see the "X" "I" "E" ones on some of my files and I have no clue about what they're supposed to tell me.

I tried to search the answer on my own, but I found nothing in the settings, nothing in the menus, no tooltips, it looks like there's no proper documentation anywhere, the only promising link is to a dead wiki that redirects to this forum, and here I only found more dead links and some ancient blog posts. Is there any actual documentation available?
