Video info settings

Post by Kadet »

I believe that for videos app should set the information displayed on and below the thumbnails separately. For example, when it comes to movies, I'm interested in the time of a given movie, which doesn't make sense for photos.

Yes, two separate settings.

I'm not sure if I've seen this before, but now in v39 I definitely see it.
You can leave this topic for now, but I'm still not sure if it wouldn't be better if there were separate settings.

Edit:
There is no info about time after looking at files from Folders and Device memory view.

Can we have some consistency on the design, between still images and video clips ?
Currently:
- For still image, there are a number of items displayed over the image. These items are configurable. There is nothing similar for video clips.
- For still image, taping on the image leads to the detailled information page and vice-versa. For video clips there is an icon with a small i on top right to access these information. I do not have preferences on one method vs the orher, just wish to see consistency

the problem is that single tap starts playing on a video

Ergonomy is my favorite :)
Can we allocate those common gestures?

Currently, for videos, Double tap and Long tap just react as Single tap. This by default I guess.
Swipe Up to display details of a photo or video is a quasi-standard in most gallery apps.

If OK, it would be usefull to inhibit Single tap for photos. It would make the gestures consistent and the Swipe up will become an habit before the mass of users become confused (when willing to see metadata details I am already confused on gestures between XnView and the Samsung or Google Gallery)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
