What do you think about 'show clipping' & histogram?

I thought of this while testing the various adjustments. Having the same design than Curve for Exposure, Contrast,... would be useful. I think it can be always displayed. While testing the curve adjustments the size and position of the elements was ok. And we still have the possibility to zoom on a detail if need.
Even better if the graph shows saturation and cuts (loosing details on high light or shadow pixels). Clipping is the name, as per audio ?

I'm not sure there is a need at the moment. Maybe I'm not the one, not a professional photographer. I don't use to compare multiple pictures taken on the best exposure,... more on the content. I even don't understand what you mean by overlay/back
And, on the use of single tap we should think of consistency with videos.
These days I used the slideshow to quickly compare the efficiency of adjustments. Can we activate the options you suggest in the comparison tool ? Currently it's limited to 2 photos but could be expanded to many with such infos.

Can we do for a serie of picture, not only 2 ?

Still I don't see the difference, the usage of the info overlay'/back. I need a training, or a sample ?

When only 2 pictures in the comparison tool, can we have a single graph showing the difference as we move the cursor ?
And, as suggested when multiple file are compared by sweeping left-right a single graph is necessary. Best if it can be moved on the screen, floating.

The single graph change as we move the cursor that displays (part of) file 1 / file 2.
To do so it should be based on the composite image displayed, not the content of the files.

Since v59 the comparison tool shows 2 graphs, one for each picture. My suggestion is to have a single graph and make it show the curves progressively (or abruptly if not possible) as the user move the slider on the left or right.
On top of this, open the comparison tool to multiple picture. So the graph can be used to compare and select them, based on aspects and color/light balance.
If a seletion is made available, back on the thumbnails, selection could be used to delete, move, adjust,...
