b2: Maximize view when open problem
Hello!
If Force XnView to Fit Image is checked, Maximize view when open does not work.
If Force... is checked and Maximize... is not, image is opened in maximized window, should not.
Remember, that this option (Maximize...) works only for windowed View run directly from Windows.

Re: b2: Maximize view when open problem

Yes, it's normal, if view window is not maximized, how can i resize main window??If Force... is checked and Maximize... is not, image is opened in maximized window, should not.

I disagree. Remember that XnView is an MDI application. "Maximize view when open" does nothing else than maximizing the child window when opening an image view. This works o.k. and in no case must be removed.Xyzzy wrote:It works improperly also if 'Hide tab if only one window is opened' is checked.
This options (Maximize view when open) should be removed if it cannot be made to work.

Please try this and you will see that it does not affect windowed view run directly from Windows:Xyzzy wrote:As far as I know this option only affects only windowed View run directly from Windows. It does not affect opening from Browser.
1. Uncheck option "Maximize view when open"
2. Un-maximize XnView browser
3. Double-click on a thumbnail to open image view
--> Window for image view is opened, non-maximized.
Helmut, but there is no damn hint anywhere that I have to restore Browser window for this to work. Another development problem made a part of "design"...
