Latest update xnviewMP 1.12.2 on debian 13 not working

Last Version 1.10.5 on Debian 13 : OK

Copied all files from the 1.12.2 targz archive : Not Starting .

deleted user files .db etc....: Not starting

Starting .sh File : Crash of terminal : terminal close itself ! never seen on debian 13 ! whats going on!?
and no output.

Starting from old DIR 1.10.5 : all working again.

In earlier versions there was a evertime an output ( the .so , plugins , PATH and missing things problems....)
Is it gone? Why?
Where can i find a log file? start with debug modus?

I can find no infomation what linux version you support , but you sell the software to companies?
There is only one : ubuntu/debian 11.5+

What does that mean?
Is Debian 13 / 14 supported?

11.5 is not supported from debian . it is too old. End of Support : 15 August 2024


I would suggest to write a check script,that customers can check, if something is missing, and you too.
And in future you must not answer so much questions in the forum : "what output do you see in terminal " etc....

As this targz ist not stable working, as debian.org is normally checking very good before an update , I will
say 1.12.2 is not stable and you should invent a better quality management and better documentation for linux OS.

e.g. old/stable/testing

and a install.sh for a better setup , checking missing things, before crash.
