Hello !
- Indeed, you can add a text by this way, but IMHO this is not a watermark…
- A real watermark (
filigrane in French) is similar to that you can see through a banknote when watching it in front a light-source.
- Hence, this supposes that the
opacity of the text to add - and not only a text, it could be another graphism to import -
must be configurable.
- Moreover, the colours - object and its background - might be set automatically according to the dominant background colour of the picture.
- The location of the watermark on the image could be set on a preview via Drag & Drop of the pre-selected object to add…
- Of course, this should be another standalone function, limited to OSs and formats supporting a variable transparency, so having its own requirements.
Finally, using the batch-convert actually has another inconvenience :
- If you don't change the output-format, you get one message per pic (imagine for 1,000 pics !)
"The file ‹xyz.eee› exists already. Do you want to replace it?"
• A button "Overwrite All" on this message should be welcome, and also useful for all other operations where the output-format is unchanged.
• Just my 0.05 €…

Kind regards,
Claude
