Status bar - wrong information
If [..] item is enabled, number of objects is wrong in status bar, e.g. if there are 6 images (and [..]), it displays "7 object(s)".
Normal...

- Like you say yourself, it displays n… objects, and not n… image-files…
- So, “••” is a kind of directory for Windows, hence an “object”…
- No bug there, IMHO, but indeed the count of image¦other files types only could be got from an Option, if Pierre can do this (he might…)

Hello !
•Bill Gates and I disagree totally, like you can see below :
———
- It's in French, so : <REP> = <DIR>
- “ • ” and “ •• ” are directories for Windows, so "objects"

Right.
...but if you consider some standard Windows applications like WinRar or Total-Commander, you will notice on those screenshots that ".." is never included in the object counts (not considered as a Directory nor as File).
And I am not nitpicking: I really believe that most Windows programs that show ".." and provide objects number never take this ".." into account.

One more, one less…

- I guess it's a choice, according to the personal tastes of each author… So, maybe Pierre likes more the strict DOS point of view, while E. R. and Ch. Ghisler consider this in a more flexible state of mind - though TC is very close of the DOS still, even too much for many users-.
- Moreover, TC says “ n… files”, not objects ! So, everybody is right !
- So, finally, not a big deal, this could be solved easily by an INI option like :
CountParentAsObject = 1 ¦ 0
1 : Yes
0 : No

Re: One more, one less…
It's a clear bug for me.
1. It would not be useful for anyone to count [..] as object.
2. [..] cannot be an object, because it's not on your hard drive = it doesn't exist.

When Bill Gates says jump, you will jump or bare the consequences...
What? ... No I didn't read the topic and you should ignore all contents in this post. But for my defence I must say that i saw somebody talking about Bill Gates.
