Space bar in browser .. go to next thumb?

Post by klaus2 »

Hello,

Would be nice: in browser (on a thumbnail) space bar acts as "go to next thumb" (like right arrow key).

That would allow an equivalent navigation like in viewer, where it is possible to have "space bar for next image".

Currently the space bar is not used, so alternatively i could imagine a "space bar = show image in viewer" (like with enter key).

What do you think?
Best Regards,

In Option/View/Keyboard

Hi Pierre,

yes, for the viewer (space - go to next picture) .... but for the browser?

Would be nice to apply it optionally for the thumb navigation too ..

Oh ok, you don't like right/left arrow? :-)

You can use right arrow, it works also on last thumbnail in row.

Another feature has been suggested already for <Space> (for browser), more here.

Hello!

The other feature suggested obviously refers to space+insert ...

Nothing against the arrow keys :-) but consistently space bar for 'next image' (viewer) and 'next thumb' (browser)
for me sounds to be intuitive .. and space bar is near to reach ..

Of course it's a very small thing, i know, but actually the space bar is not used.

Not space+insert but space AND insert, means both keys, same as in file managers.

So it would be better also to select images then.

Maybe an option, same as in fullscreen... :?:

Hello Dreamer,

space+insert resp. space AND insert for some selection functions is ok,
but space without any other key .. mostly there's already one image selected
and the idea is to set the selection to the next image when pressing space bar
(so iterating the thumbs).

Best Regards!

Hi,

no feedback?

I thought it is intuitive (and easy to do):
space bar [as single key]:
in viewer -> go to next image
in browser -> go to next thumb

Not good?

:) Hello !

• Indeed, it should be quite handy.

- However, I don't know whether it could be configured both for the browser and for “View” … ?

- If it should, I support !

 Kind regards,
Claude
