Re: XnView save space?
XnView uses a cache for quick access to all the thumbnails when revisiting a folder. But it does not use a database for storing images, image information, or several links that point to one image.Sko22 wrote:Is it possible to use xnview as a database that allows to save space?
But a way to achieve a sort of categories is by using shortcuts. XnView displays thumbnails of shortcuts, this way you can create separate folder structures (=categories) and link to images without duplicating each image.
In topic "Shortcut of images to another folder (Categorizing images)" I've outlined various ways to create categories and suggested to use categories for shortcuts. I'm not sure how good or bad this works in practice.
