Hi!
I love exif, but one thing I'm missing is a EXIF-Sidebar or something similar:
I take a lot of pictures with my digicam in different modes but with the same motive. The camera stores the details about the settings as EXIF in the pictures. If there was a sidebar (or always-on-top tool-window), which displays all the exif info, I would be able to compare the settings instantaneous and not having to click onto each pictures properties in XNView.
Thx

Thank you for the quick reply!Troken wrote:If you change your thumbnail view to "Thumbnail & Labels" and then in options: Browser -> thumbnails -> thumbnail labels insert the EXIF-values of your choise. Then you will get you data in the browserwindow.
Since there are a lot of values, this is not very practical:

As you can see, there are no labels, but only a list of values.

Hm, yes, I can see the problem. To a certain point, you can cusomize how the show after your need. I can see that you've separated the data with a new line, but you can add the info in other ways.
Go to options -> browser -> thumbnails -> thumbnail label
Now, scroll down the left side options column and you'll find "custom 1", "custom 2", "custom 3" etc. In these, you can add more than one value to a label-line. You adjust the values by clicking the lower right "custom" button. Play around with it, maybe you'll get a somewhat acceptable result.
One custom field could have:
<Focal> - <Shutter> - <Flash>
As you can se, you can separate with a symbol, here a "-".

Viewing files that way would be a solution (although I prefer an extra-sidebar or window), unfortunately I have no "custom" fields! I'm using version 1.82.4. How can I add them?
