Bug in convert NEF to tif, jpg ? picture size gets smaller

When I use the convertion from NEF to TIF or JPG format, the size of the picture is reduced from 3872 x 2592 to 1952 x 1308. I didn't use any change function. I want to keep the full format of 3872 x 2592, but how?

I must say I find the current behaviour of XnView inconsistent, at best.

When I double-click and open an image in XnView browser and then use "save as" the image is saved in original size. But when I right-click an image in XnView browser and choose batch conversion the image is saved in half size.
I couldn't understand it and believed it was a bug and only resolved it once I found your post above in this thread.

Still I believe the behaviour is inconsistent and simply not correct.

Or is there any workaround for batch converting LOTS of raw in jpg?
