crash when trying to scan
When pressing File => Aquire (after having set a source), XnView 1.90b2 silently crashes; no Dr. Watson, nothing. 100% reproduction rate. 1.82.4 does it's job as expected. Scanner is Mustek 1200CU Plus connected via USB. If any more information is required, just tell me which

Strange, i have not change something in Acquire. You make the same step in 1.82 and 1.90??GeorgD wrote:When pressing File => Aquire (after having set a source), XnView 1.90b2 silently crashes; no Dr. Watson, nothing. 100% reproduction rate. 1.82.4 does it's job as expected. Re: B2: crash when trying to scan
Yes, absolutely. The only differences are the XnView version, the path (only the numbers at the end vary) and the language (1.90b2 is EN, 1.82.4 is DE).xnview wrote:Strange, i have not change something in Acquire. You make the same step in 1.82 and 1.90??

Strange, do you have the possibility to test on another computer or/and windows?GeorgD wrote:Yes, absolutely. Which windows do you have?

Re: B2: crash when trying to scan
I've absolutely no clue of TWAIN....You mean testing the same scanner on another machine with same OS? No, sorry, as I use WinXP SP2 Tablet PC Edition (special type of Pro edition), and I don't know anyone with the same OS (all others with Tablets I know already switched to Vista even tough they don't have drivers for anything - it's their comfort which is lackingxnview wrote:Strange, do you have the possibility to test on another computer or/and windows? I will do further testing and edit this post later on.xnview wrote:Yes, please
Re: B2: crash when trying to scan
OK, I just had another try, german Win XP Pro Tablet Edition. XnView, menu, File, Select TWAIN Source, clicking on my scanner and button "Wählen" (Choose). File, Acquire, 1.96 crashes without anything more (nor Dr Watson no nothing), 1.82.4 leads to the firewall asking whether XnView is allowed to start the TWAIN software, Yes, scanning works perfectly well. After having scanned with 1.82.4, 1.96 also worksGeorgD wrote:I will do further testing and edit this post later on.
For Windows 7 I did not yet find a scanner driver and probably never will

Re: crash when trying to scan
Yes, always the same since 1.82. I'll buy a new scanner anyway, so hopefully the issue is gone thenxnview wrote:Always the crash on 1.97b2??
