B1: Favourites make program hang

Post by Danny »

If you have bookmarked a folder from a remote PC as a favourite, which isn't currently connected to your network, the program gets stuck for about 10-20 seconds.

IMO Xnview shouldn't try to access favourites until i've clicked on one.
Get the bugs fixed, THEN start adding features. It sucks, but someone has to do it.

Fixed for the favourites pane but not for the favourites drop down menu in the toolbar. It doesn't hang as long anymore though.

Yes. The program still hangs for a while, if you open up the favourites menu with a (currently) non-existing LAN-link in there.

While the favourites pane had already been fixed, it now gets stuck again the first time you switch to it. After that it doesn't do it anymore.

The favourites drop-down menu never hangs now, though.

So, if you could revert any changes to the favourites pane since the last version, everything should be perfect i guess.

At least it seems like that, since it (now) gets stuck (again), if i open up the favourites pane. It didn't do it for the pane in Beta2 or 3 - can't remember.

I'm using an UNC path ( "\\server\..." ), yes.
