Export - save zoom value

Post by Dreamer »

Save zoom value on Export dialog on close, default view is not good to see the quality of the picture. Perhaps it might be even zoomed by default.

Not sure about this one, as most people will want to have an overview of the image first before selecting a meaningful part for 100% zooming: you end at 100% (or whatever) but want to start with 'fit to window'. This being said, the Export view should be improved... :?

What about a small overview to drag/modify the zoomed area (zoom % remembered, as suggested):

It's a draft: I'll increase window size slightly to give more room to everything -> but what do you think about this idea?

It's lovely! Great work. Could you try to add (for the draft) a zoomvalue, so you can read how many percent you have zoomed in?

I can't see some/most images from imageshack.us, in any browser, it's not just me, could you upload it to http://imagevenue.com/ please?

Done (in original message). Is ImageVenue a good&relied service? Would you recommend me to register there instead of imageshack?

That is an amazing design, I'd love to use something like that. Much better than photoshop's save for web, too! (Unless you really need those web-specific options.)

I don't know, but I know that also other people from other countries have problems with SOME images from imageshack.

I think the small navigator (Pan % Zoom) should be a very small, extra window. This navigator should be available in normal view, fullscreen and all other occasions where you have a zoomed image.

A singular solution in the Export window may help, but I think the dialog will be too special compared to other dialogs, then. I'd vote for a more general solution/approach. And this matter should be discussed more before introducing.

Some related topics (there are more):
- Wish: Image 'minimap'
show small preview area in image if zoom is bigger than 100%

-> postponed

(I also wanted to see how to merge 'Save as' & 'Export' in a single action/workflow... so it needed more thinking anyway. There are other interesting suggestions too... :D ).

:) Hello !
…I also wanted to see how to merge 'Save as' & 'Export' in a single action/workflow... …
• I thought also to use the Export with the file-type buttons to save - that I requested for "Save as…"- but I miss a second target, and also a "wildcard" type (i.e.*.ICO I need often).

- I notice that the buttons here are good GUI, while they have been execrated by someones in my proposal….
• Good evolution… :P

Claude, which buttons used here are you referring to?
(I will of course keep your thread in mind before making any suggestion... although it doesn't mean I will use the suggested solutions... )
