XnView ShellEx v1.0.0.1 Improvements

Post by ckit »

I have two Shell extensions which handle pictures installed now, "Context Viewer 1.41e" and XnView's new one. However, there are two things missing from XnView's...

1. The thumbnail is way too small
2. Clicking on the picture does not launch IrfanView the way "Context Viewer" does.

Unfortunately, Context Viewer is no longer available for download but I do have a copy :)

Which size would be better?

Ok, my Context Viewer's default setting for picture preview is 320x240 so I guess thats the biggest you could make it without the menu looking really weird.

Irfanview????
IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com) still remains my primary image viewer. I still have concerns about making XnView my primary image viewer. When I say "primary" I mean my files associated with that app. Bit by bit XnView is getting better :)

I've updated the shell extension. Could you try again?

OK, version 1.1.0.0 now launches XnView as it's default action which is great. Now all we need to work on is the size of the thumbnail/picture preview.

Thanks is looking better and better.

Thanks, I'll have to try it later. Right now I have v1.1.0.0 locked in memory and I can't uninstall it without a reboot which I can't do cause I'm running a dial-in server.

Ok, this is wonderful!!!

One last request, merge all three submenus into one or two. At least the Thumbnails and Languages should be merged into an Options menu.
