Hello !
• I tested also with a new INI, same mess…
- I've renamed my INI in the XnView folder, and then the INI is created in the <User> folder - that I'd purged before-
• Please, could you answer about the font in the preview, since it's the only display that we get from a TXT-LNK currently,
and it's not convenient at all…

Checked on Xp SP2 with clean ini, and have not the problemTsunamiZ wrote:clean .ini and using XP SP2 all updated. this bug happened in previous XnView versions too

Yes, i use the standard fontClo wrote: - Moreover, the preview displays the text, but it uses probably the EXE-core font, I suppose still the crappy MS Sans Serif, since some upper ANSI characters are not displayed, I get black rectangles instead…
- 29 characters are missing in that bitmap font, quite inappropriate to display text in a preview![]()

By dbl click, you want to open shortcut in xnview or in associated program??TsunamiZ wrote:ya but it works with the shortcuts, while double click doesn'txnview wrote:??? But F3 is to open with associated program?TsunamiZ wrote:well F3 works, but double click doesn'tperhaps make double click fucntion like F3 would fix it for those who have this problem?

I have set all file types to open in the associated program when doubleclicking; I don't use shortcuts to pictures so I cannot confirm the above issues, but I do use shortcut to folders and they always open as a Windows Explorer window, while IMHO they should "move" the XnView browser to the folder where the shortcut points to.
Solutions…

Good evening,
• I have sent you a complete programming font via E-mail.
• It could allow to display all ANSI characters in the preview.
- Or else, please set an option (even as an INI entry to fill out by hand) to choose a valid font …
