RC1: Favourites "\" problems?

Post by marsh »

There is a problem with the handling of the backslash "\" character in new favourites panel.
These problems seem to occur more often in B6, less often in RC1.
Favourites deleted 2 at time.
I always use folder path for filename. If bookmarks contain or end with "\", sometimes 2 favourites entries are delete instead of 1.
"D:\k\_keep\g\L\"*"D:\k\_keep\g\L\"
"D:\k\_keep\g\W\"*"D:\k\_keep\g\W\"

Null string (square character)
Sometimes an odd square character appears. Delete with tree view menu, restart program, and it reappears.
I was renaming folders similar to this "T:\TTT\T\", deleted them, when I first saw square character.

If this used as a bookmark, deleting first entry will automatically delete second entry also.
"C:\in\test\"*"C:\in\test\"
"C:\in\test\1\"*"C:\in\test\1\"
"C:\in\test\2\"*"C:\in\test\2\"
"C:\in\test\3\"*"C:\in\test\3\"

Can't confirm. You delete the first entry with menu in favorite pane?

If i use del key to delete first entry, only this one is deleted, can't reproduce...
Do you have the problem with a clean ini?
Pierre.

Yes, in layout #3. Perhaps only with preview pane disabled. So there would only be favourites on the left and file list on the right.
With no changes to clean INI, I don't see it.
