thumbnail orientation

Post by Evds »

In preview and fullscreen the orientation of the photo is correct. The thumbnail however has a different (wrong) orientation.

In RC1 these thumbs are displayed correctly.

If RC1 displays thumbnails properly and RC2 not, this is strange. This might be a problem in RC2, but this could be also a matter of caching. In your RC1 version, could you please delete the whole cache (Tools > Options > Browser > Thumbnail > Cache in RC1 and see whether the problem still does not occur in RC1?

And could you please have a look at FAQ How to rotate images automatically and double-check that the embedded thumbnail is oriented properly.

I have send a test photo to Pierre and he replied that the problem is indeed a bad oriented embedded thumbnail.

I have disabled the option to use embedded thumbnails and then both RC1 and RC2 show a correct oriented thumbnail. If i switch the option back on then RC1 shows a correct oriented thumbnail and RC2 an incorrect oriented thumbnail (i always deleted the whole cache).

Still a different orientation in RC1 and RC2? That's strange and sounds like a bug. :o
