RC2: blue channel is missing in histogram

Post by maix »

I've installed the new XnView-win-RC2.exe, looked at the new histogram feature and did't find a "blue" channel - is it not implemented?

I cannot confirm: When viewing JPG images in the preview and the histogram I can see the blue channel. Which image type do you use? Could you place a sample screenshot of your image preview and the histogram?

How could I place an image here? Maybe I could sent a small image via mail?
I just see a green, a red and a composite luminance channel but no blue channel with all images.[/img]

You can upload it to a site like http://imageshack.us then grab the "direct link to image" and post it here using the img tag.

Confirmed. I'm not seeing blue histogram info on my jpegs at the moment. I'll try to narrow problem down further.

The installer version is different from zip version (which probably doesn't have problem).

Using zip version here (didn't even realise there was an installer available, not that i would have used it anyway), and histogram works fine (after I found where the friggin thing was).

EDIT: It's confirmed, the problem is with the installer version. Viewing the exact same image in both the zip package and the installer package, he blue shows in the zip one's histogram, but is absent in the installed one's.

EDIT #2: I was just looking closer at those pics, and the installer says rc3 (which I didn't think was available yet). The good one is beta 6, but I checked it with the zip file of RC2 as well, and that is also fine. It would appear that this bug was introduced in rc3.

ZIP only here

:) Hello !

• Indeed I use only the ZIP versions always… I've four versions installed, and don't wish to see one overwritten !
