ckit et al,
For all I know making XnView a purely commercial product isn't an option and was never an option. I trust in the freeware (for private use) "XnView" and think that this will not change. Sure enough you never can tell what will happen and I'd be surely pretty dissappointed if the licence terms would change. That's a risk I take.
With this in mind, I think each person has to decide whether he/she wants to contribute to XnView or not.
Greetings,
Helmut
<Edit> Now there's a topic "About contribution" which provides various thoughts and info.</Edit>
XnView is freeware for private use, only. Pierre gets money from companies which buy licences. And XnView is not OpenSource. This is written in the short licence terms or can be conducted from these. I think and hope that XnView users and especially people posting and helping XnView are not surprised when reading this.ckit wrote:How much longer will XnView be around before XnView DeLuxe 2 takes it place? or are we being used a bit like Sun uses ppl with OpenOffice only to improve StarOffice instead.
