No thumbnails in Total Commander

Post by joro3d »

Hello

Thank you very much for adding the ICN format to XnView :D
I have a strange problem using it in Total Commander though...

When I switch to thumbnail mode in Total commander (Ctrl+Shift+F1) the ICN files don't appear with their correct thumbnails.
Instead I see the default icon for them. Same happens with .*INT, *.INTA, *.RGBA images (*.RGB and *.SGI are OK)

Could you please support me with a solution to that? :(

Thank you

P.S. A screenshot:

:) Hello!

• Please, just read this : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/charries/xnv/en ... b.htm#team

- The entry IviewAdditionalTypes= doesn't exist by default, you must add it since obviously you don't know it…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Hello again,

I reinstalled windows XP. I use latest Total Commander and latest XnView. But ICN files stopped showing in Total Commander. I have done what you explain in your previous advice - but this time it didn't work... any ideas? :(

Partially confirmed

:) Hello !

• The fault seems to be in TC 7, since I can display your images in XnView 1.90.3 here, like Pierre says :

   Image

• It works as thumb nails in TC 6.56, but NOT in TC 7 RC 1.x

• Indeed, I've associated the *.icn format with XnView 1.90.3 and added the extension in the <wincmd.ini> [Lister] –>
IviewAdditionalTypes=… *.icn like one ought.

- You might post in the Public beta test TC forum HERE, and the Mod (myself) shall confirm ! :D

EDIT : Yep ! I had to set the *.icn type in the Options >> Thumb nails for XnView ! Now, that works !

That is very strange as I said, because on my home machine I have no problems (yes, it works in TC7 RC1!)

It's only on my office machine. Could this be because of different hardware?

Office machine is:
pentiumD Dual Core 3GHz
nv7800 agp

Home machine is:
dual Xeon 2.4GHz
nv Quadro FX560

The problem is on the office machine. It is strange that it appeared after changing the mainboard and CPU (it was p4 single-core before...) Do you think XnView has problems with dualcore?
