XnView always bombs when I try to stop the thumbnail Cache

Post by gimeejunk@yahoo.com »

I have 50,000 JPEGs, MPEGS, and WMVs in 86 folders.

XNVIEW starts doing something when I enter a directory. Probably Caching. This interferes with switching directories because XNVIEW becomes slow to respond to mouse clicks. This is not the bug, it is just annoying.

The bug is that I cant turn off the caching, and then save the settings. Whenever I close XNVIEW, after I turn off the caching, it bombs.

I am running XP, SP2. I have unclicked all the options in Thumbnails but that doesnt work.

It's perhaps the creation of movie thumbnail, try to disable video for thumbnail in Option/Filelist

Hum, i think that there is a file that crash XnView, try to go in an empty folder before to change the settings!

Perhaps you have downloaded a version of the danish XnView factory, not the french one... ;-)
